I took this while on the USMC Miramar base. The coolest picture I’ve taken in a while that has real meaning to it.
Thank you for serving, military veterans. You deserve recognition every damn day for what you do because I have no idea how you do it. You’re away from family and friends for months, months at a time.
My (late Grandpa Glenn Fossum) is a Veteran:
Mount Soledad located in San Diego is a dedicated tribute to Veterans.
Below, these two Veterans’ plaques stood out the most to me and they’re two of more than 2,500 Veterans that we should be paying tribute to every day for their services.
Time to bring it a little closer to home. This is Robert Skara. Your dad will forever be remembered, Julie:
My friend Matt Mortiz and his buddy Corey Sathoff:
Jody Soderlind (no picture )
Tiffaney and Rick Styles (this is their fun, sweet and kind family and I miss having them as neighbors):
And to those currently serving, thank you. That word just doesn’t seem like enough though, but sincerely, thank you.
(Note: it doesn’t matter how many times I look at this photo, I get teary-eyed. Every. Time. So powerful.)
